Creating a flexible, dynamic design language for Windows meant designing for an ecosystem shaped by different experiences, technologies, and generations of the platform. The system needed to create consistency without ignoring the realities of a large and evolving product ecosystem.

That thinking extended into new device experiences including Surface Hub 2, Surface Duo, and Surface Neo, where dramatically different form factors and modes of use still needed to feel distinctly Microsoft.
